About Us
EOTAS comprises three colleges; Fernbrook College, Oakfield College, Riverside College, including Medical and the Adolescent Unit Marlborough House.
Welcome to the EOTAS website. My name is Juliette Baldwin, I am the Head teacher and would like to welcome you to EOTAS. We have designed this site to share with you some of the work we do. However, if there is more that you would like to know about us, please come and visit. We work with professionals from all agencies and areas of our community.
EOTAS works with children and young people who have, for a variety of reasons, found themselves unable to access mainstream education. This may be through unmet needs or complex social circumstances.
We are a school and our job is to provide an education. We start this process with a series of assessments to find out where our children are in their education, to get to know and understand the barriers to their learning and start to build relationships so that we can support their education. If you have a look at our curriculum pages, you will see our educational intent. The intent statement gives more details about the skills, knowledge and understanding that will empower our pupils, enable them to grow, and enable them to contribute to our community.
The length of time a pupil will stay with us varies between a few weeks and a few years. This will depend on the support that they require. Our ambition is always to assess our pupils and enable them to return into mainstream or specialist provision.
We look forward to meeting you and working with you, whether that is as a pupil, parent, visitor or member of staff. If you would like to hear more about the work we do, please contact us via the contact details shared in the following link.
